A friend raised her concern on what seems to be as a language abuse - making everything in acronyms! And in Emojis!
I kind of agree with her 100%... however.. still.. in this fast-paced tech-world.. to me.. as long as we understand the message, that is what matters most. I agree though.. in official letters.. academic essays.. in schools.. govt agencies.. all must always be reminded to use full and complete sentences when writing their messages.
The thing is... kids in school have started to write in acronyms.. as in what we write in Whatsapp... Not becomes 'x'.. By the way becomes 'btw'.. have becomes 'hv'.. and the list goes endless.
The concern is real.. really happening in our society.. so we ask,"what damage can it bring if we still do this language abuse?"
Well.. for one... we may be going back to the era where the Egyptians deliver their messages across only in emojis. Till today... we are still trying to understand their codes...
Hmm... what a dilemma..
